      Mark R. Kisner, Director of Clinical TransitionAs Director of Clinical Transition, Mark oversees the Employee Assistant Program (EAP) and Clinical Transitions at Balboa Horizons as well as carrying a clinical case load. Mark has 15 years of experience in Chemical Dependency and the Mental Health Field, and 10 years experience as Clinical Director. Mark holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work, and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II (CADC-II). Mark’s therapeutic background in Family Systems Theory and Strength Based Therapy enables him to empower clients and their families. He is also on the Board of Directors of a local indigent woman’s facility that is drug and alcohol free. Mark also facilitates weekly groups for local high school students struggling with drugs and alcohol. His passion is helping clients regain their inner strength and hope; his deep experience gives him a powerful set of skills and resources to help clients and their families gain and maintain this life changing transition.Mark believes an essential piece of recovery is interaction with healthy, like-minded individuals—developing a healthy community to support recovery, and having a blast in the process.
