  ECLRT will be the largest subway extension of North America.Chaplin Station will be an underground station located at the Chaplin Crescent and Eglinton Avenue West intersection. Chaplin Station’s design incorporates numerous elements tying it to surrounding green spaces such as the Kay Gardner Beltline Trail.KEY FEATURES Three station entrances: one on the northeast corner, one on the southwest corner, and the last on the southeast corner integrated into the old Toronto Fire hall.• 32 outdoor bicycle parking spaces• On-street connections to TTC buses• A redesigned Chaplin Parkette with improved greenery, meeting areas, and space for waiting and relaxing• Design integration between the station’s entrances and the Kay Gardner Beltline Trail, in consultation with the City of Toronto’s Parks, Recreation and Forestry DivisionCONSTRUCTION DETAILS• Chaplin Station is being constructed using the top-down construction method.• The western section of the fire hall is a designated heritage building, and has been protected and restored during construction.
