  As part of the Young Carer's team, we support people aged 8-18, who care for a family member who suffer from a disability, illness, mental health issue or substance misuse issue. As part of my role, I support young carers to balance their caring role with their everyday life. We facilitate groups in schools and community spaces across Huntingdonshire, to give young people well needed respite from their caring role. We attend TAF meetings and we meet and assess young people to identify what support can be put in place. I also offer Transition Plans to those aged 14-16, offering directional 1:1 support to aid young people to achieve their goals and aspirations. Show less In my previous role, I was working for Carer's Trust Cambridgeshire under the HR and Business team. I supported the HR officer with the recruitment process to make it as quick and efficient as possible. I also worked with the Volunteer Co-Ordinator to help recruit volunteers through promotion and advertising. I am also contributing to the social media side of the charity to advertise our vacancies and services to new platforms of individuals, through the use of sites such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.   Working to ensure the voice of kidney patients is present in every important conversation that could change the future for them. I aim to ensure that patients are involved in all relevant opportunities, especially along the research journey. Now been offered a permanent position in my role at Kidney Research UK working on all things patient involvement. Working to get kidney patients involved in all aspects of the charity's work, especially the ground-breaking research we fund. Currently on a secondment role at Kidney Research UK working on all things patient involvement. Working to get kidney patients involved in all aspects of the charity's work, especially the ground-breaking research we fund. Building relationships with our supporters who are fundraising for our cause, and ensuring they feel valued. Keeping them on a journey with Kidney Research UK and getting them involved in other activities to build a connection with the charity. This role has given me experience in all aspects of working within a Philanthropy team; the majority of my role included aiding with the facilitation of special events for our audience and approaching new and existing trusts for grants to fund groundbreaking research.
