  The Department Agency Syndicated Loans is responsible for managing credits which ABN AMRO has been appointed as agent and is responsible for conducting, coordinating, guiding the operational legal and technical affairs arising from syndicated loans. Agency is the primary link of contact between the customer and the banks and between the commercial and operational departments.It concerns very large financings that several banks (the syndicate) made available to a borrower. Borrowers are Large Corporates. The credit facilities serve for the benefit of balance sheet, object-, project-, and export financing and financing of public or private joint venture projects, such as the financing of pipelines for oil and gas, LNG plants and oil platforms, financing acquisitions, and also leveraged deals, MBO´s or financing hospitals. Responsibility for managing and executing the sell down process rests with the Syndications teams located in Europe, Americas and Asia.ING Agency acts on behalf of all Lenders in a syndicate and is responsible for administrating the loan and acting as a conduit for all payments to and receipts from the borrower and the syndicate members. Where there is more than one Mandated Lead Arranger, the roles of Agent and Bookrunner may be divided amongst them. Centres that undertake the role of Agent have their own procedures in place.
