  Security Systems - ImplementationResponsible for the co-ordination and management of a large-scale security infrastructure upgrade project. Lead a direct and virtual team to ensure successful project delivery to meet business requirements in risk reduction to enterprise infrastructure. Responsible for identifying high-profile/risk areas and ensuring devices meet internal and vendor support requirements – developing and documenting the plan to upgrade hardware and/or software (multiple vendors) and managing decommissioning or virtualisation. Operation elements included the Implementation of Enterprise Cloud Checkpoint VE infrastructure – three datacentres, circa 80 virtual firewall instances. Implementation of multi vendor infrastructure to support virtualisation with Checkpoint R77 (VSX) to replace legacy Hardware at three datacentres. My responsibilities included initial design and implementation of three large security hubs across three continents to support a major customer migration to a best-practice, cutting-edge, fully redundant security solution using Crossbeam/Checkpoint VSX technology.The solution required an understanding of all associated, surrounding technologies including Cisco switch fabric, dual-layer firewalls and Intrusion Detection systems. To achieve this I was involved in the depth due-diligence exercise to baseline the existing customer infrastructure to ensure an accurate understanding of the dependencies and identification of risks was established prior to initial design and implementation.
