  Swiss Plasma Center at EPFL

  Summer Internship

  During my internship at the Swiss Plasma Center under the supervision of Prof. Paolo Ricci, I worked on modeling plasmas with non-Maxwellian velocity distribution functions for tokamak simulations. I developed numerical tools to express these distribution functions in a Hermite-Laguerre basis. Additionally I explored analytical approaches to computing fusion reactivity using cross-section data from R-matrix theory. I gained experience in theoretical plasma physics, kinetic modeling, and computational methods. Show less
