  Digital Egypt Cubs Initiative (DECI) was launched by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in May 2022. DECI is a program offered free to top-performing students, from the first year of preparatory school to the second year of secondary school, in Egyptian schools nationwide.Starting their journey off, DECI participants study a foundation program that introduces the basics and tools of modern technology, helping hone their technology skills. The students, then, enroll in a specialized track of their choice, in a number of areas, including digital arts, software development, network and information security, Artificial Intelligence (Al), and robotics.They also receive training on personal, life and leadership skills such as communication and presentation skills, time management, team building, planning and leadership skills, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.   TechGirls is an international summer exchange program designed to empower and inspire young women from around the world to pursue careers in science and technology.The core of the program is a 25-day experience in the United States in partnership with Virginia Tech University. TechGirls participate in an interactive technology and computer camp, then travel to one of the following cities (Austin, Chicago, Cincinnati, Denver, Detroit, or Seattle) for community and career explorations.TechGirls is packed with skill-development workshops and interactions with America's most innovative tech professionals as well as 40 hours of study at a Tech Camp with the Center for Enhancement in Engineering Diversity at Virginia Tech. The TechGirls program offers a rich cultural immersion experience, improves the participant's ability to enter tech fields and encourages them to pursue higher education in fields where women are underrepresented.I was selected as one of the three girls to represent Egypt in TechGirls.
