      Apr 2020 - now
      Founder and Designer

As the Founder and Head Designer of Polliculture Gardens my role is threefold:I DESIGN aesthetically pleasing ecosystems. I use native plants to make room for nature and choose plants that feed lepidoptera, pollinators, and small vertebrates. My designs move because they are alive.I EDUCATE my clients about native plants and ecology. I begin with a small 10 min lecture to orient my clients. Then throughout the design process I answer questions and gently relay my knowledge about ecology to my clients. By the end my clients go from conscious consumers to conservationists. I CULTIVATE plants at my own nursery operation. This extra step ensures a steady supply of high-quality, native plants to bring my designs to fruition. My operations are moving towards growing plants with provenance to eco region 59. Show less
