His efforts in collaboration with Canadian Health Services to create a realistic mass casualty simulation provided an invaluable experience of inter –agency cooperation and reflected great credit upon Joint Task Force Atlantic and the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness.”My name was put forth by Major Christopher Guilbaud-Mc Harg and was nominated by Maj Fleck for consideration. Maj John McDade was my sponsor and host for me and my family at the awards ceremony. The Honours and Awards Presentation Ceremony took place on Thursday, 15 September 2016, at the Sea Room, CFB Halifax Officers’ Mess. Exercise Frontier Sentinel 15 was held on October 15, 2015 in Yarmouth Nova Scotia. A component of the exercise simulated a terrorist attack at the Yarmouth Ferry Terminal that generated over 100 high acuity casualties simulating an active shooter event in a small town. The volume and critical nature of the injuries enabled first responders and the health system the opportunity to test their plans and response capabilities as well as practice responders. It was truly a great honor to receive this award. Show less
