  From a broad scope of responsibilities, I was most generally involved with organizing grassroots efforts such as canvassing, organizing phone banks, parades, and fairs. However, I was also heavily invested in fundraising efforts, organizing public debates and forums.   My general duties entailed assisting in the teaching process, organizing labs and reviews, mentoring and encouraging students, as well as grading papers and tests. As such, I had to organize classes as large as 150 students. I was an assistant in both the Political Science and Visual Arts departments. In this position, I worked closely with a professor and assisted him by translating and performing scholarly research in his field of expertise. While my main emphasis was on research, I was also tasked with scanning old slide images, digitizing images, cataloging images, and assisting in other secretarial duties.

  I coordinate a neighborhood center at Cottonwood High School. Here I plan after-school activities for teens enrolled in the program. The majority of our program's participants come from refugee and immigrant backgrounds. As part of my role in management, I record and analyze data in order to maintain and expand grant funding. I also help to supervise and oversee the center staff, volunteers and the facility. I am responsible for building and maintaining a network of community partners and fulfill those relationships with fidelity.
