  My main responsibilities included taking and recording vital signs, I&O's, and blood sugars; assisting patients with ADL's; providing 1-on-1 supervision for selected patients; and working with a team of nurses, physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists to provide quality care for our patients. Many of our patients on the ortho/neuro floor had suffered from life-altering events such as an acute stroke, brain tumor, brain bleed, trauma following a MVA, hip fracture, or joint replacement. They required a lot of attention. It was wonderful to get to work with them through their struggles and celebrate their advancements with them. Show less
