    • XEnergy Technologies, LLC.

      Jan 2013 - Jun 2014
      Lead Design Engineer

"Energy Efficiency Through Creativity"An energy start-up company transforming ideas into applications to help people become more energy conscious in their everyday lives. Primary technology uses exhaust flow from cooling towers to drive a wind turbine generator.Using technology acquired from WindTronics, XEnergy technology adapted wind turbines into the commercial HVAC market. I worked with the Chief Technical Officer to completely redesign the wind turbine into a more robust commercial product that could be manufactured without the need for expensive injection molds or assembly tooling.Once installed, this product would make cooling towers more energy efficient and increase the duration between costly maintenance downtime. Customer's Return on Investments ranged from three to ten years depending on duty cycle and tower capacity.XEnergy successfully landed a contract with the Department of Defense and installed systems at multiple locations at a U.S. military base.
