  I did three courses at UCLA, including the introduction to classical mythology (enrollment 323). For that course I supervised a team of seven graduate students, finding creative solutions by consensus to ambiguous problems such as how to structure an effective discussion and how to develop standards for fair and consistent evaluation that were reliably implemented at scale.

  I taught ten courses in ancient language, literature and culture, setting the schedule of topics, establishing standards for the evaluation of written work, and supervising a team of 3 graduate students. At the same time I maintained my own active research agenda which resulted in a published scholarly article.

  Data Auditor

  I monitor and improve data quality to ensure accurate and smooth billing for my assigned accounts. In Sep 2023 I joined a team that specifically handles managed print contracts, large accounts with specialized requirements. I maintain larger volumes of data, flag data problems in internal onboarding meetings, and produce periodic billing reports for customers in Excel.I count creating a systematic audit process for new business as my signature accomplishment. Through auditing I’ve caught and corrected hundreds of mistakes before they cost money and time. My tactful and thorough feedback to the setup team has improved their accuracy and promoted good data hygiene across the organization.I improve the legibility and usefulness of existing reports and I'm a go-to person for ad hoc analyses. For customers and colleagues I present detailed explanations concisely without getting in the weeds and convey warmth and reassurance in relaxed and colorful style. Show less
