  I focused on developing models for dynamic simulation of log grinding and studying inverse problems related to measuring grinding forces. I worked also in other research projects with paper industry and paper and construction machine manufacturers. Part of my job was teaching on TUT courses.

  The core of my work was to build up virtual models of machines and their sub-systems and simulate their function in order to:- test virtually new ideas in product development - study and solve problems- support dimensioning of components.I coordinated subcontrating in the area of Multibody System Simulation and developed simulation tools, models and processes with global Deere expert community and with Finnish research institutes. Besides simulation related tasks, I developed processes of Designing for Reliability. Show less

Responsible of research and lower technology readiness level technology development for drilling and other hard rock interfacing systems. I led a team of highly skilled experts in the fields of systems engineering, data analysis, noise and vibrations, and material science. My responsibilities included hands-on R&D work in the fields of mechanical engineering and virtual reality, applied research roadmap development, and managing external research work and engineering subcontracting.
