I founded and ran a club dedicated to empowering women and girls and promoting discussions amongst high school students and teachers surrounding gender inequality and societal impact of sexist policy and cultural assumptions. Planned events and programming centered around supporting the senior class of 2017. Assisted in planning homecoming, headed winter formal planning committee, coordinated senior slideshow filming, presented at all senior class assemblies, and co-developed the senior class slideshow and presented it at the senior assembly at the end of the year. A part of the original team that revived the Aloha High School literary magazine that was nationally recognized in 2016 and 2017. Coordinated club meetings, organized fundraising events, petitioned for funds from the parent teacher association, presented at an art gallery celebrating the literary magazine in June of 2016, and coordinated and led outreach for submissions from Aloha High School students.

Responsibilities as the Disability Justice Coordinator (DJC) include developing collaborative relationships with the Accessible Education Center, the University Counseling and Testing centers, and university leadership to advocate for a more accessible campus. Responsibilities also include developing collaborative relationships with other student organizations such as AccessABILITY student union, Safe Ride, LGBTQA3, the Duck Nest, and more. The DJC also hosts workshops designed to educate and inform the community about ableism, accessability, and inclusion. Show less As the Resident Assistant Coordinator for the Kalapuya Ilihi residence hall on campus I ran and advised the hall government, created events for students in the residence hall and out, managed hall government finances, and built up the leadership skills of first year students. I also served as a support role for the community director and resident assistants by having one on ones with both each week, creating the on call schedule, mediating conflict, running staff meetings, meeting with the other RACs weekly, providing feedback to university housing on residence hall curriculum, and helped organize the fall RA retreat. When COVID-19 disrupted campus operations I also helped staff the Global Scholars Hall Service Center and assisted residents and families with the move out process, mail and package deliveries, and resource check outs.
