      Woodrow Wilson Undergraduate Research Fellowship Johns Hopkins University Krieger School of Arts and Sciences Sep 2018 I was awarded a $10,000 grant to design a multi-year, independent research project identifying novel viruses and their functional capacity in inner-rock communities from the Atacama Desert. I discovered 100 previously unknown viruses and putative viral-host interactions in the community for the first time in the field. I published a manuscript and presented my work at an international conference.
