An active volunteer for 5 years prior to this period of employmentCreating a partnership with another large Birmingham mosque and management committee to oversee over 80 Muslim burials during the intense 3 month Covid-19 pandemic. These efforts were recognised by the Lord Mayor in a commendation letter. Personally running the planning and operational side of collections, ritual body washing and burials and managing a team of volunteers who were assisting. Working with multiple mosques and government stakeholders in particular Public Health England when re-opening the mosque post Covid-19 pandemic in full accordance with government guidelines.Managing the security of the grade 2 listed building, tenants, staff on site, congregation as well as managing the building maintenance ensuring all upgrades and building work was planned and executed to tight deadlines and strict budgetary constraints. Managing a diverse team successfully, dealing with complaints/escalations, working with a wide variety of stakeholders, presenting the widely successfully operations model to other mosques and organisations in an effort to share best practice.Managing the hugely successful Eid in the Park event twice a year growing the event from 2000 attendees to around 100,000.
