  Responsible for 24/7 operations and supervision of manufacturing technicians and engineering technicians to maintain site safety standards and provide support for any operational issues that arise after the daystaff have finished and during. The role also includes being available on call as a technical advisor for the local community emergency committee (MICC) to respond to any emergency and act as a company rep. The role of OSM is varried, we must have a thourough understaning of site safe systems of work, there is also quite a large amount of competencies that are required for this role. Some of the sites higher levels of permitry and assessments are applied by us, confined space entry, hot work, rescue plans, operational plans, operational risk assessment, radiation authorised person and management of change.
