  • Experience

    • Universidad católica boliviana sede la paz

      Feb 2021 - now

      • Lecturer at the 6th International Workshop on Lean Satellite presenting "Enhancing 1U CubeSat Capabilities through image On-Board Classification Testing with a Stratospheric Balloon". Participated in the Student and Young Engineers session, organized by Kyushu Institute of Technology at X-Nihonbashi Base, Tokyo, Japan in December 2023. • Spearheaded a team of 20 undergraduate mechatronics students in "Cubesat" research project. Principal role within the project: V&V engineer. Developed an ADCS to control a Cubesat 1U(nadir pointing, detumbling) based on quaternion motion description with non-linear control. Responsible for modelling external disturbances. (Matlab/Simulink, Solidworks). • Development of ADCS module virtual prototype (PCB) in Altium using COTS. Conducted simulations to evaluate COTS performance under technical constraints. Led the mission proposal, operational requirements, and designed custom-design magnetorquers to meet specific needs. • Orchestrated an experiment to test a prototype using STM32L432KC and COTS during a stratospheric balloon mission in order to estimate maximum torque disturbances in a Cubesat orbiting at 200km altitude. (Python, C) • Developed the payload of a 1U Cubesat for on board imagery classification through deep learning using a Raspberry pi 4 and a STM32F411 board (TinyML, C, C++). • Developed a testbed to replicate the performance of a senior experiment focused on Microgravity Liquid Printing Based on Resin Solidification for Outer Space Applications and designed a Helmholtz cage based on the main operational requirements and actuators. Jul 2023 - Oct 2023
Devops and software automation area (adas) intern

      • Configured and optimized Dockerfile and .gitlab-ci.yaml to establish robust CI/CD pipelines. Specific tasks: secrets management with Vault. Docker image management with Harbor. I utilized Kubernetes and ArgoCD for the efficient and scalable deployment of applications. • I developed n8n workflows and documentation, a tool that was then used by the automation platform to add new projects. I set up a LocalAI server configured with Kubernetes to generate text using different Language models and generating embeddings for text. • Designed and executed automation scripts using batch files and Ansible, streamlining the configuration of servers within a local network to install essential tools and software (Linux).
