Mr. Allgier assaulted citizens in this community after he killed a fellow officer from this department who was on duty, which further challenged them to remain objective during the course of the investigation.Agent Eads was tasked with addressing the offense and Mr. Allgier's background and account of the crimes he committed. Agent Eads was assigned to this case because of his advanced technical writing skills and objectivity in his investigations. He maintained professionalism during the interview process with Mr. Allgier. There were many statements made by Mr. Allgier during his four hour interview which could have been taken personally and negatively and reflected in the presentence report; however, Agent Eads collected information and transalted this information into a thorough, unbiased and very professional report.This report was subject to a great deal of scrutiny due to the high profile nature of the offense.
