  Started as an apprentice with a Landscape gardening and building firm straight out of secondary school. a wide variety of work in both the landscaping and general construction sides of the company meant adaptability was key, and using initiative was crucial in developing a career. hard work was a given in this industry which helped me develop a strong work ethic and sharp intuition which has translated well into my current positions.

  After accruing a deeper knowledge of the industry and developing more of a managerial mindset, I was selected to become the manager of the manufacturing department at PureDrive Energy. The position of manufacturing manager consists of planning, directing, or coordinating manufacturing strategies and general operations. As well as developing long-term and short-term goals and objectives. Tasks - - Developing strategic goals and objectives that align with the company strategy map and taking appropriate steps to ensure they are met. - Completing indicative production projections and using such information for production schedules. - Updating all relevant information regarding dispatches, product stock levels, and production sheets to the appropriate platforms - Ensuring work orders are completed efficiently using effective workforce designation - Developing and improving product quality processes - Liaising with the sales team to develop strategic production and dispatching schedules. - Coordinating the implementation of necessary resources to support growth and projects - Engaging with members of the manufacturing team to understand personal qualities and abilities to support individual growth - Interview new potential hires and oversee the training of new employees ensuring training records are completed by new and existing employees - Ensure all levels of employees have an understanding of departmental and overall company directions and goals. Show less I took on an amazing opportunity in the renewable energy industry. Being in a 'start-up' business environment the training was intense. This role included manufacturing complex solar storage systems as well as troubleshooting and problem-solving. I learned crucial problem-solving and critical thinking techniques that will forever be useful. Always trying to expand my knowledge combined with a growing manufacturing team, I found myself also training newer employees as well as completing my own tasks and goals. Show less
