  Students worked together daily in a student-centered environment that fostered critical thinking and inquiry. Students were provided with hands-on opportunities for learning both in and outside of the classroom. Resources used in the class include National Geographic, NASA Digital Learning Network, #GlobalSpeedChat, Stanford Education History Group (SHEG), iCivics, Zinn Education Project, TED-Ed, Zoom In, Teaching Tolerance, Facing History and Ourselves, Common Sense Media, U.S. National Archives, and the Library of Congress. Students used technology (Google Apps for Education, Chromebooks, and Apple iPads) as a tool to interact with the content of the course.
