  I led the land drainage team at councuil from 1997 to 2000 with responsibility for all river management and drainage planning guidance within the city. I was instrumental in helping to develop policy on sustainable drainage issues.Prior to 1997, I was responsible for analysis and design of sewerage and drainage services, particularly for Yorkshire Water projects in Leeds, including sewerage modelling.
