  Service in the NZ Police included periods in Auckland involved in sectional, enquiry, investigative, Team Policing and Search and Rescue and relieving roles at Orewa, Warkworth & Wellsford. In later years sole charge positions at Woodville and Ruakaka dealing with a wide variety of events. In my time at Woodville it was upgraded to a two Man Station due to the workload and while at the Waipu Police Station I was able to influence the Police to establish a new Police Station at Ruakaka in Northland which has continued to grow in size and staffing.   Community Safety Officer

  Development crime prevention and injury prevention interventions in the Whangarei District. This included collating and analysing crime and injury data to develop appropriate responses. Working collaboratively and focussing on a community development/empowerment approach influenced the problem solving role.
