Activities and Societies: Member of the Ecotoxicology and Water Quality Research Laboratory American Fisheries Society Student Chapter Graduate Student Society During my master's research, I worked for the Ecotoxicology and Water Quality Research Laboratory, in addition to my project duties. Activities and Societies: The Green Club (Environmental Organization) American Fisheries Society Student Chapter Honors College Teaching Assistant for Zoology, Botany, and Ecology labs As a Biology student pursuing the "Fisheries Option" of study, with a Conservation minor, I was lucky to get extensive hands-on instruction in the use of field gear, how to design and implement researching in my chosen field of aquatic ecology, as well as leading undergraduate laboratory sections as teaching assistant. I was also able to finish a volunteer internship at the Durant State Fish Hatchery to complete research credit and get experience in aquaculture, a special interest of mine. Upon graduation, I had the opportunity to receive graduate credit for a ten day short course hosted by Southeastern called Western Field Ecology, where I was able to study freshwater systems and aquaculture in the Southwest United States.
