      The Serious Fraud Office is the department of the New Zealand government responsible for the investigation and prosecution of serious and complex fraud and corruption. I was selected as a part of the Government Legal Network to clerk there for the summer. My role involved legal research and analysis, coordination between the SFO and other agencies/defence counsels/the court, and the drafting of legal documents. After the completion of my summer clerkship, I was invited to continue working part-time at the SFO as a legal intern while I completed my final year of study. Show less

      Criminal Law Tutor

      I taught criminal law at the University of Auckland as one of the programme tutors. In 2020, I was one of the two tutors responsible for moving the year's tutorial content online, producing video tutorials that were shared with the 300+ students taking the course. I have also tutored both privately and for the university and clubs. Notably, I spent two years running the Auckland Debating Society first-year law seminars and have tutored students from low socio-economic and refugee backgrounds at the request of the University.       Grand Final Judge at the 2022 World Universities Debating Championship Belgrade WUDC 2022 Jul 2022 The World Universities Debating Championship is the largest and most prestigious debating tournament in the world. Out of hundreds of judges, I was selected to judge one of the Grand Finals of the tournament at the 2022 edition of the tournament hosted by Serbia. This is one of the highest honours in international judging.

      Deputy Chief Adjudicator and Grand Final Judge of the 2021 Australasian Debating Championship Nepal Australs 2021 Jan 2022 The Australasian Debating tournament is widely considered the second most prestigious debating tournament in the world, drawing teams from both Oceania and Asia and producing a substantial number of the top performers at the World Universities Debating Championship. I was selected as one of the Deputy Chief Adjudicators to run the 2021 edition of the tournament hosted by Nepal, and judged several of the Grand Finals.

      Open Semi-Finalist at the 2021 World Universities Debating Championship Korea WUDC 2021 Jul 2021 The World Universities Debating Championship is the largest and most prestigious debating tournament in the world. Out of approximately 400 teams, I reached the Semi-Final at the 2021 edition of the tournament hosted by Korea. This placed us in the top 8 teams in the world for that year.

At the 2020 edition of the tournament hosted by Melbourne, I was one of the Top 10 speakers out of over 400. This was my second finish within the Top 15 speakers.
