    • Schlumberger

      Oct 2008 - Jun 2020

I was the senior automation engineer for Schlumberger's shaped charge manufacturing plant. This state-of-the-art facility was created to revolutionize how shaped charges are made and I am fortunate enough to play a big role in seeing our facility achieve it's potential. My day to day responsibilities included developing and maintaining software for PLCs, Robots, HMIs and SCADA as well as helping to troubleshoot hardware problems and collaborate on improved system design. The best part about this position -aside from all the cool hardware- is that I got to work with, and help develop, an amazing group of automation engineers that I'm certain will go on to revolutionize manufacturing throughout our company. Automation Engineer

I worked both as a software developer and project engineer. The software developer work involved fixing bugs and creating features for VTScada <the world's most powerful SCADA software>. The project engineer work involved refining customer requirements and then using VTScada to produce and test high quality SCADA systems. More specifically, I helped upgrade the baggage handling system and Shannon airport, Ireland and worked on the new SCADA system that will be deployed on the Alyeska pipeline. Show less
