  Oversaw the employment of two SSBN squadrons to meet US Strategic Command operational requirements. Coordinated vast improvements in force protection policy in the entire Northwest region. Lead the development of underway tactics, techniques and procedures to ensure protection of SSBNs on the surface. Served as the command lead for SSGN operational concept development and experimentation. Provided leadership, direction and mentorship for the Executive Office, Department heads, Senior Enlisted and the entire crew. Integrated and synchronized activities of all command teams and external organizations in order to advance promulgated goals/objectives and meet all operational objectives.   OPNAV Staff focal point and principal adviser to CNO for all nuclear propulsion matters in order to develop and administer policy for ship visits to sensitive ports, including special considerations for nuclear powered warships. Primary point of contact in OPNAV for salvage and submarine rescue operations. Represented the Navy’s operational perspective on environmental matters in order to provide coordinated impacts to readiness. Managed the N3N5 staff budget of over $10 Million dollars and oversaw human resource management of a staff of 25 government civilians. Show less
