  In this role, I was the sole data analyst, responsible for analysis of student achievement data from schools all over the country, so as to support the professional development of teachers. My job at Evaluate gave me practical experience to supplement my university study, particularly in setting up spreadsheets, modelling data and interpreting results, as well as the ability to draw inferences and communicate insights to colleagues.

  I was a Statistical Analyst on the Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI) team. The IDI is a linked longitudinal database containing large amounts of cross-governmental data, and my position provides the opportunity to work with big data. My role focused on bringing new datasets in to the system, assessing the quality of that data, and helping researchers make sense of data variables. I have given presentations on the IDI and the possibilities for research to various audiences. I used the IDI as the data source for my Master of Analytics thesis. Show less
