  Played a key role in driving forward and supporting the work already underway in the development of international policies and strategies to engage with the reciprocal organizations, international organizations, and other key stakeholders in the international audit market that are of strategic importance to the KGK with leading several technical staff in each project.• Maintained bilateral contact and arranged the European Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/1223, the Swiss Government decision, and the UK Government on the equivalence of Turkey’s public oversight regime.• Provided individual consultancy to the newly established Georgian audit regulator (SARAS) and Ukrainian audit regulator (ACU) via World Bank Group’s Ankara office regarding registration, inspection and enforcement practices. • Maintained contact with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) of U.S. and drafted a statement of protocol on cooperation and the exchange of information related to the oversight of auditors.• Developed a strategic approach for KGK to sign the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators’ (IFIAR) Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MMOU), facilitating the cooperation in the exchange of information among members of IFIAR regarding public oversight of auditors, including inspections, investigations, enforcement and registration.• Arranged a partnership agreement with Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) regarding the translation of AAOIFI’s accounting, auditing, governance and ethical standards into the Turkish language.• Organized numerous events in Turkey such as International Audit Congress (September 2015), International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) Emerging Economies Group (EEG) Meeting (May 2016) and AAOIFI’s Public Hearings (October 2017&March 2018).   The Islamic Finance Consultative Group, formerly the Consultative Group on Shariah-CompliantInstruments and Transactions, is an advisory group to the IASB Board focussing on challenges that may arise when IFRS Standards are applied to Islamic financial instruments and transactions.The group does not judge whether products are compliant with the requirements of Sharia'a law. Members are aware that there are differing views on whether particular products are compliant; however, dealing with those views is beyond the remit of the group. Therefore, the group's focus is on challenges that may arise in the application of IFRSs to Islamic finance instruments and transactions, which would be brought to the attention of the IASB's IFRS Interpretations Committee.
