  Major responsibilities:-1.Design cost estimation (Bottom up) based on BOM from engineering team.2.Zero based costing (ZBC) for projects.3.Providing negotiation levers to purchase department to achieve the cost targets for instruments panel , Console, Bumper, cross car beam.4.Setting the cost targets based upon the technical definition to purchase for upstream vehicle projects.5.Analyzing the supplier quotes and accordingly discussions with suppliers and buyers to meet target.6.Educate vendors on SQ, and work closely with them to accurate & timely data for costing.7.Analyzing the technical and economical gap to fine tune the project costing.8.work on entire project line up, provide synthesis of total cost across various milestone of project 9.To Bench- Mark & perform tear down analysis of competitors vehicles, to propose innovative and cost reduction ideas.10.Value added and value engineering activities.11.Do profitability analysis and guide project team in Make or buy decisions.12.Work closely with engineering and purchasing team for total cost reduction activities.13.Monthly Raw materials price movement monitoring & RM price increase/decrease workings with vendors.
