I've worked as a music producer, sound-engineer and composer for two decades, starting as a bedroom beatmaker, going into music studio engineering work and producing my own music for live performance, online streaming / purchase and synchronization for advertising. Here are some highlights:1999 - Produced the EP 'Life from All Angles' for the emcee Mizchif on Eargasm Records. The track on the album, "Place For A Wife" featuring TK received strong airplay on radio and TV at the time. Very sadly both artists have passed away. The track was also picked up by legendary New York hip-hop DJ, Bobbito Garcia, and released on vinyl through his label Fondle 'Em Records.2001 to 2005 - Worked as a sound-engineer for Manic Media recording and producing music. Notable work includes the music logos for the SABC3 and the soundtrack for Soul Buddyz.2010 - Produced much of the music for Spoek Mathambo's debut album, 'Mshini Wam' released on BBE, including the acclaimed cover of Joy Division's "She's Lost Control". Toured with Spoek around the US and Europe to promote the album, playing live samples and synths.2015 - Collaborated with Moonchild Sanelly on several tracks as Maramza, including "Cut The Cake", an unexpected radio-hit off her debut album, 'Rabulapha!' and "Inkwenkwezi" off my own EP, 'Low Magic'.2019 - Released the EP 'Tiger Bites' on my own label Kwaai-Fi, including the track "uWrongu" featuring jazz and soul singer Bonj Mpanza that was used in 2017 for the Superbalist Summer Collection. Show less I've been DJing around South Africa since 2005. Originally playing at JHB bars and clubs such as Tokyo Star, 88 and Carfax, I then moved to Cape Town in 2009 and began playing at venues there such as Fiction, The Assembly and The Waiting Room. I've played at major festivals such as Oppikoppi, Rocking the Daisies, Splashy Fen and more. I've had to honour of DJing outside of SA's local borders in France, Italy, Kenya, Montenegro, Spain and Zambia. My style has always been an intentional mashup of styles and genres (electronica, bass music, house, R&B and hip-hop) glued together with a South African adhesive (kwaito, gqom, local hip-hop, afrobeat). I can play to both small and large crowds, whether it be a dancefloor or chill-and-listen type of affair, day or night. Listen to the mix "It's A Mess" to get an idea of my style and sound. Red Bull Culture Specialist

I worked as a specialist in the Red Bull South African Culture department for 5 years with a focus on the Red Bull Music Studios Cape Town and music events. The Studio recently closed, but during its time hosted hundreds of artists recording music and / or performing live on air. We've had the likes of Nasty C, Gemini Major, Rowlene, Moonchild, Rouge, Moozlie, Sho Madjozi, DJ Lag, Langa Mavuso, Muzi, Francois Van Coke and many more. The sessions were run on a project by project basis, but the general strategy was to bring in artists who would record their own music, which Red Bull would document on its Social Media channels and website, along with bespoke music content with each artist, all to promote the brand through BTL marketing. Probably the best example of this content most recently has been the #Swift16 Instagram videos, created with many of the above mentioned artists. Show less
