      Doctor of Philosophy - PhD Biomechanics and Movement Science

      I was a research physical therapist on an R01-funded prospective cohort study, investigating the role that specific clinical impairments play in the pain-related disability and physical function of older adults with chronic low back pain. The focus of my dissertation work was developing and testing various aspects of a conceptual model for mobility decline among older adults with chronic pain.

      I completed a competitive postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh in the Department of Physical Therapy, funded by the Center on Health Services Training and Research (CoHSTAR). I was involved in clinical research on aging, as well as health services research, with a particular focus on implementation science. I also taught Research Methods in Physical Therapy to students in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
