      Operated as self employed Interim Consultant / Independent Contractor between October 1999 and August 2008, providing strategic HR solutions and HR consulting for clients including Cambridge University, London Overground, Lafarge Aggregates, Balfour Beatty Rail, Mathews Foods PLC, Wolseley Plc, Anchor Ltd and Tyco, reviewing client needs, presenting solutions and delivering contracted transformations.       As Chief People Officer at dnata Ltd, owned and deployed by Emirates Group, I reported to CEO, responsible for managing UK HR team whilst supporting local management teams across 11 geographies. I developed UK talent and succession planning models that became widely adopted across several Group BUs and led UK HR Directors forum across all Emirates Group BUs including Catering, Travel, Emirates Aviation Services. I harmonised polices, practices and procedures including disciplinary, grievance, sickness, and training. Key achievements include: ◼ Planned and executed the rationalisation of Cargo operations, reducing costs by >£2m.◼ Managed sale / transfer of Plane Handling operation for 1,500 employees with “The Go-Ahead Group” to dnata and TUPE transfer of 850 staff from Aviance Ltd.◼ Implemented policies and procedures leading to reductions in absence from 5.5% to 2.5%, saving £1.8m annually.
