I supported wider teams with their volunteer recruitment ensuring procedures were followed correctly and applications moved swiftly through our recruitment process. Show less I covered the post of Volunteering Advisor for Retail from January 2019 until June 2019 in addition to my role of Volunteering Team Coordinator. The role involved advising and supporting the retail team with volunteer recruitment and development. I helped to promote retail volunteering opportunities in the local community, inspiring people to get involved. I advised retail staff on all aspects of volunteer recruitment, management and engagement, aligning any development to the wider organisations volunteering strategy. I would report to the Volunteering Development Manager for Fundraising, Retail and Communications and support them with strategic volunteering developments in the retail function. Show less My role was to manage all income from the West of Scotland including cheques and cash from incoming mail, online donations, telephone donations, online giving pages, direct debits, and money raised from fundraising collections. I ensured these were banked/processed correctly, uploaded to the supporters record on our database, and a personalised thank you letter sent. As I progressed in the role I began supporting with the reconciliation of daily payments made into the bank, ensuring they matched the information on our database. I was often the first point of contact for supporters looking to fundraise for CHAS. These initial touch points were crucial to starting a great supporter relationship. I worked closely with the West fundraising team to fulfill supporter's requests for fundraising materials and would oversee the engagement calendar. I also worked closely with our team of West fundraising volunteers and managed a team of 10 office volunteers who would assist with administration tasks. Show less
