  Saman Residential Building 5,000 m2 • This developer designed, constructed and sold luxury residential condominiums in Iran. • worked in a team of architects, civil engineers and construction managers who developed sites for residential buildings of 12 to 26 stories and 10 to 20,000 m2. Modeling projects in 3D by Sketchup to find conflicts of mechanical plans & Architectural plans, preparing shop drawings in AutoCAD & presentation documents by photoshop was my role in this company.

  DWC Residential & Commercial Building 60,000 m2 • This developer was starting his own company to develop projects in Dubai. • He asked me to gather a team of classmates and develop Dubai projects from Iran, travelling to Dubai when necessary. • Developed the Dubai World Central residential & commercial building of 10 stories & 60,000 m2. I designed it all, Concept (DWC), shop drawings, visualization by using 3d software like SketchUp & Rendering in Artlantis, Vray & making presentation graphical Documents in photoshop.• Had to learn Dubai’s more advanced architectural, electrical and mechanicalbuilding codes/ standards; as Dubai’s economy declined, Vista Star reduced its efforts in Dubai. https://vista.ae/gallery/#constructionprojects Show less

  Ajudaniyeh Residential Building 4,800 m2 • This company needed additional staff to start a 4th concurrent project. • He asked me, an Architect, to be a Site Superintendent for the construction of an 8-story luxury residential condominium in 19 units. • with two underground floors of parking, pool, exercise and common meeting facility, and a roof garden; • the building was pitted against two existing buildings which created challenges; started at initial design phase through the sale of suites; reviewed old drawings & designed landscape of yard and roof garden too.• upon completion and because of the declining economy in Iran, the owner of the company decided to pursue other interests. -it was my first experience of the demolition of the old building and making a new one as a turn-key project.   o The first building evolved to become the Kasra Office Building (2,000 m2 with a commercial ground floor and 5 story office building);  The site was near a busy intersection; required to only work at night; caused issues with residential Neighbours; negotiated with them & received their cooperation; upgrading their windows to double pane;  by changing the ground floor function, from parking to commercial use toward the end of the construction we saved $0.5 M in municipal fees. (NB: The rest of these buildings were steel beam and column (nut and bolt) construction; all prior structures used steel bar reinforced concrete.) Show less

  The last building was a Sharif University (concrete) Classroom Building with 11,000 m2, and 8 stories; most of the space was dedicated to 75-10x5 m classrooms, professor offices, and an auditorium in the basement area; because the building was around 70 M long in an earthquake zone, the building required three structure joints; and being an education facility it required special evacuation and fire door design. www.tbkasra.com o The second building was the Niloo Building (3,000 m2, 6 story, residential condominium building); for this building, I negotiated with the municipal government; with minor modifications, we were allowed to add the 6th floor; that provided an extra $1M profit. as a multi-task site architect I did my best to satisfy customers and sponsors.
