  While studying at Michigan Technological University, I had the privilege of working on various projects within the CPM Enterprise. These projects ranged from researching steel coatings, to designing a drying system for small scale hops growers. I completed work on these projects while continuing my studies, communicated with company representatives, and presented work and results in the form of visual and written presentations. Projects included: Hops Dryer Development Project. The main objective was to design a hops dryer for clients involved with small-scale hops production. The new dryer design would help to improve efficiency when compared to current drying systems. Following the Hops Dryer Development Project, I worked with a team to research and design quality parameters for ultrasonic welding within the automotive industry. We worked with company representatives to learn and apply Six Sigma techniques to creating Design of Experiments (DOE) in order to test automotive parts using vibration models. My final project was to design a hydro-metallurgy copper recovery unit. My team focused on safety parameters regarding acid mist fumes within the design, including proper ventilation and monitoring systems. Show less
