  Responsible for Block fabrication, allocation of the work to maintain control over the manpower and ensure its effective utilization. To schedule the fabrication process, plan daily and weekly work, monitor and generate weekly report.Implement systems, processes and procedures to facilitate smooth functioning of overall resource and manufacturing operations and enhance operational efficiency.Monitor and supervise the fabrication of Panels, Units & Blocks of Hull.Monitor production process, identify defects, deviations and take corrective actions.Maintain the record of daily check lists.Plan day to day work on priority basis.To ensure if the correct welding sequence is followed.To carry out inspection and dry survey of the completed blocks and to co-ordinate with the QA Department for the clearance.Co-ordination with the surveyors and owners for clearance of the blocks.Material estimation, handling sub-contractors, upgrade and guide the Sub-contractors to improve the productivity.Inspection for the correct edge preparation, fit up in the fabrication stage.To ensure that NDT is carried out as per NDT plan.Involvement in the documentation of check list for the different stages of shipbuilding process.Documentation as per ISO requirements.
