These included Volunteer Board member development (700+ members), Board Strategic Planning, New Contract (funding) Development, Contract Negotiation, Human Resources, and Risk Management.

      Bill Hoffman leads Bill Hoffman & Associates, LLC which is a Tampa-based consulting firm with national-level independent sector expertise in these areas: > Educational engagement strategies > Nonprofit leadership transitions > Organizational and board development.Bill is a prolific author and frequent presenter on these and other related topics. Bill has senior-level nonprofit management experience in education, having been the president of one of the nation’s top K-12 education foundations, functioning as interim CEO for prominent national and state education and philanthropic associations, as well as leading national, regional and state boards of directors. He has served as a consultant to various groups and individual non-profits in the education field including the Florida Philanthropic Network, Florida College Access Network, SRI International, the National Math and Science Initiative, and the Consortium of Education Foundations as well as others. His work has been primarily in K-12 education, especially college and career readiness and success, standards reform, and STEM fields. Bill has written and spoken extensively for GuideStar, the New York Times Op/Ed, SEEN Magazine, Opportunity Knocks, the National School Foundations Association, the Public Education Network, the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations, the Mid-Atlantic Consortium of Education Foundations, the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, and the New Jersey Education Foundation Partnership. He has developed nationally innovative programming for nonprofit executives, including the Certified Education Foundation Leader program for K-12 education foundation executive directors. This program is being delivered by one of the nation’s largest non-profit universities and rolled-out via the industry’s largest trade association. Worked with board and staff to transform operations to 100% virtual (subleasing offices) and outsourcing critical membership, financial, and communications functions.
