      Mass Bays is a US National Estuary Program jointly run with the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management. It is dedicated to protecting, restoring, and enhancing the estuarine resources of Ipswich Bay, Massachusetts Bay, and Cape Cod Bay. As Director of Science, I oversaw scientific research studies, collaborated on writing monitoring plans, interacted with volunteer watershed monitoring groups and helped translate scientific outcomes for public policy needs.

      The Encyclopedia of Life project is an unprecedented effort to make available information for all species of life on Earth, accessible through one website (eol.org). As Director of the Learning + Education Group (education.eol.org), I was responsible for making the EOL interesting, accessible and useful to the general public, formal and informal education programs and citizen scientists. EOL Learning + Education creates tools (e.g., a biodiversity card maker) and resources (e.g., lesson plans, podcasts) that are available for free.I was an original staff member and part of the Executive team collaborating to build EOL and the EOL Learning + Education group from the ground to a successful bioinformatics project.       The Planetary Health Alliance (PHA) is an extraordinary group of committed and forward-thinking individuals. I am humbled to be working with this global community.The PHA is a consortium of over 370 universities, non-governmental organizations, research institutes, and government entities from 65+ countries committed to understanding and addressing global environmental change and its health impacts. To support the rapid growth of a robust, interdisciplinary field of planetary health, the PHA is focused on: 1) Building a global planetary health community that crosses sectors, disciplines, generations, and geographies;2) Facilitating the training of the next generation of planetary health leaders through the development of mentorship opportunities and foundational open-access educational resources from primary to university levels; and3) Mainstreaming planetary health science through broad public outreach and direct engagement with policymakers.
