As a final deliverable, I presented my research at a regional urban forestry conference. I also had the opportunity to assist PhD students with their research projects.

  I was involved almost every aspect of municipal arboriculture, including: inventory, tree work, inspections, outreach, etc..The best part of the job was that I was able to create my own project. I created a mashup of Google's Open Data Kit to create an interactive map of the street trees around a prominent library in Cambridge.

  As the code compliance officer, I was responsible for conducting regular inspections of construction site stormwater treatment and erosion controls. If a job was found to be in non-compliance, I would then collaborate with the relevant stakeholders in order to bring the job back into compliance. This job also involved review of stormwater plans and collaboration with engineers to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal stormwater treatment regulations.On the side, I lead a small cross-departmental team dedicated to building a county wellness program. This was a terrific experience for me as I had the opportunity to work with many different stakeholders across the county, and we made great strides towards a solid program. Show less

This may require testing of software or device accessibility and appropriateness, direct training in living skills and assistive technology use, providing mental health support and collaborating with various stakeholders and caregivers to maximize our clients' functional gains in their meaningful activities.During a regular week, I have the opportunity to do things like this: train a client with impaired vision how to use a screen reader on iOS devices, assist a client with OCR applications for compensating for his agraphia/dyslexia, collaborate with a team of professionals to design and fabricate a custom device for protecting our client's feet and legs while he uses his wheelchair.On top of all that I am also involved in assisting the organization with improving processes and procedures to improve our efficiency and client care.Check out a couple pictures below to see the kind of things I'm working on.
