I am one of the founder of this department and It was found to be able to support rapidly growing Turkish Airlines Fleet macro maintenance planning needs with the coordination of Line, Base, maintenance teams, their micro planning departments and Turkish Airlines Maintenance Operation Control Center (MOCC)The main functions of my department are; maintenance slot management, maintenance status monitoring, flight status monitoring, maintenance plan status monitoring, doing necessary and urgent plan changes, important maintenance problem resolving and decision-making, AOG aircraft status monitoring and taking AOG actions, hangar capacity management, maintenance team capacity evaluation, liaison with THY MOCC, Performing the actual Due check. Show less Between 2011 and 2016, I coordinated, followed up and technically report around 80 heavy maintenance projects. In addition to Turkish Airlines Fleet, I worked for the heavy maintenance projects of 3rd party customer aircrafts of A319/320/321/330/340/310/300,B737-400/700/800/900ER,B777. These projects were C and above letter checks, delivery/re-delivery checks, cabin mods, retrofit projects, L/G,APU, Engine changes, B,S Checks, Special Structural Repairs were my main project types. Around 20-25 of them were delivery and re-delivery projects and these type of projects are always harder than the routine checks. Because, these projects contain owner, ex-operator, new operator and MRO at the same time. Especially time pressure and financial issues can be so critical. My main responsibilities as a base maintenance project engineer were monitoring, coordinating and reporting of following base maintenance activities; Work flow in accordance with essential milestones, weekly planned manhour burn-rates, daily tasks and non-routine items status, required consumables and components supply status, pending important issues status, TAT reporting and if there is a delay, reporting it and explaining the technical reasons. Manhour bargaining for out-cap limits of non-routines and additional customer request items iaw the customer base maintenance contract and discussions about the effects of them on current TAT. Supporting customer reps for test flight, ferry flight and maintenance exit routine paper work. Making good and effective communication and coordination between related companywide departments such as, maintenance teams, engineering, component shops, macro planning and customer reps ( for 3rd party A/C), Transferring correct technical data via daily routine meetings, special meetings, emailing and reporting. Saving important data for any future queries. Making critical decisions and solving important problems. The only technical contact point for 3rd party customer rep. Show less I have been licienced by Turkish DGCA as B1.1 authorisation with no limitations since 11.11.2002 (suited with EASA part 66) .I was certified and authorised A319/320/321 family type certificate equipped with V2500 IAE engines, i performed complex tasks such as;.. Engine , APU, LG , nacelle group, flight control elements changes, any related component removals/installations and final tests/system functional tests and adjustments in all related ATA Chapters, general visual inspections, detailed inspections, repetitive inspection required items and critical items inspections, trouble shooting etc. Show less
