  In the Greenland Lab at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine I researched the effects of immunosuppressants on an airway epithelium cell line by doing cell culture, testing doses of commonly used immunosuppressants on epithelial stem cells, and using fluorescent antibody stains to determine specific effects. Analyzed information using flow cytometry. Gained understanding about the immunologic and airway biology basis for the declining function in transplanted lungs in relation to COVID-19 vaccines through patient chart review and abstraction. Presented my research to the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) High School SPARK Symposium. Obtained knowledge about immunology, pharmacodynamics, and biochemistry. Show less
