      did research on financial analysis of hybrid poplar plantation in AB to produce bioethanol, at the department of Resource Economics and Environmental Sociology under supervision of Prof. Martin Luckert and Dr. Glen Armestrong.In this project, I studied competitive technologies for producing bioethanol, and conducted stand level financial analysis of hybrid poplar plantations on private lands. In addition, I assessed policy scenarios in a forest level framework using a land use model and drafted carbon protocols in Alberta. The investigated policy variables include varying even-flow conditions, allowing the exotic plantations on public lands, and accounting for sequestered carbon. Show less
