  Plant and Piping Engineering Intern

  During my internship at L&T Energy Hydrocarbon in the Plant and Piping Department, I had the opportunity to work closely with both the Layout Group and Material Group, gaining valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of engineering projects. My primary responsibilities included flow markups, equipment list verification, and modeling using E3D software, as well as conducting Material Take-Off (MTO) for four live projects. Here’s a detailed account of my experiences:1. Saudi Aramco Jafurah Project (Detail Engineering):Working on the Saudi Aramco Jafurah Project during the detail engineering phase was an enriching experience. I was involved in reviewing and marking up flow diagrams, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.2. ADNOC Taziz Methanol Plant in Ruwais (Proposal Phase):Participating in the proposal phase of the ADNOC Taziz Methanol Plant project provided me with insights into the early stages of project development. I contributed to the preliminary layout discussions, offering input on optimal equipment placement and piping routing. Collaborating with senior engineers, I assisted in generating material take-offs to estimate project costs accurately.3. ADNOC Al Nouf and Rumaitha Plant (Proposal Phase):In the proposal phase of the ADNOC Al Nouf and Rumaitha Plant projects, I was actively involved in conducting feasibility studies and conceptualizing layout designs. I assisted in generating material take-offs to estimate project costs accurately.4. Ar Ratawi Gas Midstream Project in Iraq (Proposal Phase):Worked on the Ar Ratawi Gas Midstream Project during the proposal phase presented unique challenges and learning opportunities.Worked in equipment list verification.
