      I oversee the Quality Management System of Dow Hydraulic Systems in accordance with ISO9001:2015 & AS9100D. Dow is an industry leader in the manufacturing, lap assembly, and functional testing of servo valves and sub-assemblies for both aerospace and industrial markets. My team and I monitor and control the quality of product and processes through the Quality Management System by:• preparing and implementing a program of audits and reviews of the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015, AS9100D, and NADCAP (EDM & NDT) standards;• planning and implementing Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) as required including PFMEAs, MSA Gage R&R, and Control Plans;• ensuring all in-house production requirements adhere to planned schedules, and to ensure that all job documentation and material are complete and correct prior to their release for production;• reviewing, with the Production Manager and others as necessary, all non-conforming material or quality related problems that may arise during the manufacturing and shipping processes, whether within the Company’s facility or at a sub-contractor;• the quality of all product manufactured by the Company, and its sub-contractors, via a planned program of QC inspection using 1st article, in-process and final inspection in accordance with AS9102 requirements;• planning, scheduling all calibration activity for measuring, monitoring and test equipment to maintain their integrity in accordance with ANSI Z540;• liaising with the Production Manager to monitor all production, both in-house and by sub-contractors, to ascertain the QC inspection needs;• liaising with interested external parties including Customers and applicable regulatory authorities;• the evaluation and disposition of Customer ReturnsTo learn more about Dow Hydraulic Systems and see a complete list of our capabilities, visit our website at www.dowhydraulics.com. Show less I performed Feasibility & Risk Analysis on customer purchase order contracts, to determine whether Dow Hydraulic Systems has the ability to meet the defined requirements and consider risks (such as new technology, special requirements, or short delivery time frames) which may affect the final quality, lead time, or cost to produce the product. I reviewed, edited, and planned all activities related to part production per customer and statutory and regulatory authority requirements. I managed projects and improvement activities including:• implementing SolidWorks drafting throughout the company • performed lean implementation throughout the machine shop• reduced setup times for CNC machining by implementing tool setup carts and 5S methodology within the machining cells• designed and implemented in-process inspection stations throughout the processes utilizing ergonomics and lean 5S methodology• performed make vs. buy analysis and part production improvement on high production parts to reduce costs by $200,000/year Show less
