  Communications and engagement lead for the Witness Service, a programme run by Citizens Advice and funded by the Ministry of Justice to support witnesses in criminal trials to give their best evidence. I was directly responsible for developing and implementing the Witness Service’s communications and engagement strategy for our 300 staff, 2000 volunteers and many stakeholders in support of our business plan and strategic priorities, and for ensuring that all communications and engagement activity aligns with Citizens Advice’s organisational objectives, values, and wider work.I worked directly with the Head of Service and other key internal stakeholders, and managed a small team to implement communications strategies and delivery plans in support of priority projects, operational BAU, and communications improvement work. I was a key subject matter expert for the service and directly contributed to the development, planning, sequencing and delivery of our annual business plan. Projects include leading communication of the Witness Service’s response to the coronavirus pandemic; developing and implementing a change narrative and engagement strategy for all audiences and key stakeholders around service recommissioning; and leading an ongoing internal change communications strategy around the transformation of our volunteering function.
