      The National Aquarium is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire conservation of the world's aquatic treasures.•Spearhead the annual City Nature Challenge for Baltimore City and its six surrounding counties, resulting in 850 volunteers making 13,000 wildlife observations and identifying 1,900 species in 2021. Coordinate efforts between 45 partner organizations which include nonprofits, parks, colleges, and state agencies.•Partner with The Nature Conservancy on restoration efforts within Nassawango Creek Preserve. Coordinate with local teachers to engage 578 middle school students in the planting of 24,533 Atlantic white cedar trees to date. Plan and carry out logistics of week-long planting and maintenance efforts.•Lead the annual Masonville Cove BioBlitz which has documented an average of 160 wildlife species per year since 2014.•Manage full-time staff within the Field Conservation department. Show less The Chesapeake Conservation Corps places young adults ages 18 to 25 at nonprofit or government agencies to work full-time leading and supporting projects for a one year term of service. The program is competitive with over one hundred applicants per year and 32 available placements.•Led planning, design, grant application, and planting phases of capstone project to create a certified wildlife habitat garden at a Baltimore City public high school.•Wrote grant proposal and successfully received funding for a Chesapeake Bay Trust Mini Grant.•Participated in hands-on habitat restoration projects by planting a variety of native plant species to restore wildlife habitats throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed.•Assisted with the implementation of environmental education in the classroom and in the field, including the National Aquarium’s “Wetland Nursery” and “Terrapins in the Classroom” programs.•Provided animal husbandry care for raise-and-release striped bass and diamondback terrapins.
