I have been involved with the Concur implementation since inception. Initially I worked on product comparison prior to IBM selecting Concur as the SaaS solution. After that, my responsibility was coordinating requirements while re-engineering, harmonizing and simplifying Global Travel. I co-authored the Configuration Design Document, focusing on Organizational structure, employee information, audit rules, personal taxation, VAT reclaim and accounting. I provided detailed instructions to the IBM IT team for the interfaces with Concur, specifically the Employee Import, Connected List import and the Standard Accounting Extract. Show less As BPO Delegate for Global Travel and Expense Reimbursement, an application used by all IBMers (400k+) for reimbursement, I have many responsibilities including:• Oversight of cross-geography teams to ensure a consistent global strategy• Necessary resources are available for the appropriate release phases• Scope definition and work prioritization• Manage both Internal and External audit reviews and responses. • Initiate and manage internal projects to increase employee satisfaction, streamline back-office processing, and removal on non-essential work• Provide ongoing training to teams and in-country personnel on a wide variety of topics including process changes and organizational strategies• Coordinate effort across all geographies/countries (110) with some countries requiring a more personalized discussion then others. I was also instrumental on several high profile changes that required collaboration across many organizations and countries including:• IBM’s integration with SAP Software Solutions (internally referred to as Blue Harmony)• The harmonization of business amenities which required a coordinated effort by Legal, Corporate Business Controls and local Tax authorities• Complete overhaul of manager responsibilities to simplify their efforts to provide oversight of their organization which eliminated most approvals in expense reimbursement. Show less I was responsible for co-producing the architecture of the IBM “next generation” expense reimbursement application (World Wide Expense Reimbursement). This application was a run-once, global application across all IBM and its integrated wholly owned companies (110 countries, 400+k users). This included a phased approach to get the application installed and useful in production while anticipating the future enhancements for American Express integration and customer invoicing integration. The application also needed to support unique country legislative and tax components and their ever changing landscape. I worked with data privacy and security to handle all concerns with the cross border transfer of personal information as well as outsourcing agreements. This run-once application has both a client-server component (in Java) and a mainframe component (DB2 and PLI on MVS).As team lead, I organized and mentored a global team of analysts (15) supporting the application and to gather requirements from various countries in order to onboard onto the new application as well as continuing post-production support. Show less I produced the architecture that integrated the Global Expense Report System (GERS) product with the legacy disbursement application. This integration allowed the continuing of input from Lotus Notes and VM while having appropriate cross-application controls (duplicate checking, etc). After integration and deployment, the Lotus Notes and VM versions were sunset. As the GERS front end required newer technology, I had to analyze the impacts and recommend a solution to minimize the cost to implement. We created a new DB2 subsystem (in a higher version) to store the data without impacting the existing MVS disbursement application. As the Project Manager, I had to coordinate efforts of over 50 employees across 4 different organizations to ensure the project remained on the desired scheduled and within budget. This encompassed all phases of the project including design, implementation, testing, cutover, and post cutover activities. It was a tremendous success. Show less I worked on the project to integrate Lotus Corporation with IBM. I developed the architecture for the new Lotus Corporation timecard along with applicable back office processes to get those timecards into the existing IBM system. These processes utilized existing Lotus Corporation infrastructure to make the transition seamless to Lotus employees.I provided the prototype and architectural design for an electronic pay statement that took into account legal, security, and data privacy requirements. This design is still being used by IBM (as of 2016) Show less I designed and implemented a new timecard application that would process timecards from multiple timecard applications into a single system to aid in the migration from a legacy application to a new one. The central application also determined the appropriate compensation to apply based on business rules and local/regional laws. In addition to the architecture change, I worked with HR compensation Policy owners to simplify the policy to help employees. Programs were written in C and SQL running on MVS. Input sourced from VM system and Lotus Notes with the output going into TesserAct Payroll. Show less

As a technical consultant, I worked on the implementation for many Premium clients including Abbvie, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Microsoft, Google and Walgreens (WBA). This includes participating/hosting on-site work sessions for understanding client requirements, development of cutover plans, status updates for both internal and external executives, and general technical support and guidance with the client throughout the implementation cycle. During all phases it is important to work with the client to understand their requirements and what drives them so you can recommend a best practice implementation using Concur that will reduce their overhead and the management burden of their T&E policies. In addition, I have organized and managed deliverables from other organizations like Web Services, SAP ICS, and Reporting services. Show less
