  • Worked in the RFMGT module (RR layer 3GPP 04.18), which handles all the layer 3 communication with the UE like the call setup/handover/call termination/broadcasting of system information etc.• Member of the specification review team of Alcatel for the introduction of new features in their BSS and gained proficiency in converting the requirements given in the 3GPP TS to those required by Alcatel for the introduction of the new features in their BSC.• Involved in the requirements analysis, design, coding and integration phases for the features that have been developed. Some of the features in which I had a key contribution were Location Services (LCS), Adaptive Multi Rate codec (AMR), Tandem Free Operation (TFO), High Speed Data Service (HSDS), 2G to 3G inter networking, Inter PLMN handover feature, EGSM, Anti ping pong, GSM850 and Dynamic SDCCH feature. • Completely re-wrote one of the key modules in the BSC called as the SDCCH Resource Manager (SDCCH_RM) because of the introduction of a new feature called as the dynamic SDCCH feature. The feature passed the integration test without a single bug found in the SDCCH_RM module.• Been to Alcatel (Belgium) and Alcatel (China) for the development/testing work. These visits had given me a lot of exposure to the real environment setup and the opportunity to perform IOT testes with the MSC’s of different vendors like Nokia and Ericsson. Show less
